About Kyle

As many Canadian's do, Kyle started on a pair of ice skates before changing into driving shoes at the age 11. In 2001, Kyle made his go-kart racing debut at the Simcoe Kart Club in Ontario, Canada and finished 2nd in his first race. The next five-years were spent climbing the regional, national and international karting ranks. In 2006, with the support of Ron Fellows and Sunoco, Kyle made his formula car racing debut. The next three-years, Kyle went on to win races and a championship in single-seaters but ultimately was challenged by the need to raise funding to continue the single-seater path to the top. Forced to look at other options, a unique opportunity presented itself to go sports car racing and this proved to be the right decision. In 2010, Kyle made his professional debut in the American Le Mans Series (now known as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship) and would go on to win multiple pole positions, races and championships in both Prototype and GT, establishing himself as one of the front runners.
For 2026, Kyle takes on a new challenge joining Aston Martin Racing Official Partner Team, Comtoyou Racing to compete in the ultra-competitive SRO GT World Challenge Europe. Marcelli’s racing resume includes victories in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, SRO GT World Challenge America, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, and more. |
